*The one already at the merchant costs too much... 2,500g for something we can get in pre?
*If the above isn't done, add something so that we can upgrade them, like is done with runes of holding, so if we buy small trying to grind for the others, we can upgrade it as we go rather than wasting money/time

The initial excitement of more storage space wore off rapidly after running round repeating quests l've done before in hm just to find out that one has to obtain 7,500 copper keys for one heavy equip. pack and no other way to obtain them. :O
Then to top it off trying to put the coins in vault after reading on official website that they're transferable. Later l read in wiki its a bug. So now more useless junk sitting in already overcrowed bags as l'm unable to buy more storage slots due to GW store webpage not coping with the strain.

Seriously reality check on this one Anet, it's just downright lousy.

Way too much time (5 months?!?) and effort (Zquest grinding on multiple characters?!?) for only 1 heavy 20 slot bag?!?

All of a sudden additional character slots seem so much more appealing

I was waiting for someone to make a topic about this. They should at least offer the Heavy Equipment Pack at merchants, with Zions being an alternative if you don't want to pay. As it stands, you have to grind your butt off doing the Zaishen Quests just to get one.

You're better off getting 3 Large equipment bags(15 items) anyway, the extra 5 slots are not worth it for 7500 bronze coins . When the large ones are only 2500 bronze coins.

I think It's fine, You dont need the extra storage and you did almost 4 years wihtout them.. Its not thats it a grind, I find it pretty fun getting new objective's ea day...It's fine how it is and like said before, if you think its to much be satisfied with a smaller pack

I mean, buying small equipment packs for every one of my 10 character is still 50 free storage spots cleared up, which is a lot on its own, plus the new free slot.

I think a.net is intentionally making it hard to get these bigger packs because then fewer people will have them so it will be less of a burden on their server space. Kinda a balancing thing so people don't have a bunch of level 1 mules with full storage and packs full of junk, but can still get them if they really need/want them. I mean, other games do the same thing to limit storage to only those who really need it (Warhammer online for instance give you a new bag unlock automatically every 10 levels, which means several low level mules can hold less then one lvl 40 character).

I'm very excited by these packs, they're EXACTLY what I was hoping for. However, the idea of having to get 7,500 Z-Coins is very, very daunting. Even the hardcore group is saying it will take them weeks to get a 20 slot pack, and frankly that's just off putting.

If they must be hard to get, make them cost 50k and only available from the merchants at the end game outposts.

Cost should be reduced.

Bags of lesser-tier should be able to be upgraded into higher-tier bags for a price of the price difference between the two bags (+ maybe a small gold fee, 1kish). That way buying a light won't be a waste before buying a large.

Just buy a Small Pack (2.5k) for now and save up your Zaishen Coins.

Be glad that Anet even gave this option. They didn't have to do anything. If you can't be arsed to save your Z-Coins for the larger Equipment Packs, then that's your own deal.

Marverick had the best idea so far. That way, you could slowly work your way up from the Small Pack up to the Heavy Pack with less inconvenience, and periodic upgrades to reward sticking with the means of getting the better Packs.

The rest of the whining... just /gimmegimme spam, as far as I can tell. Grow up, and get the frag over it.
